Anthropologie Store Opening In Fulton Market, Following Other Retailers

Anthropologie plans to open a West Loop shop at 1000 W. Randolph St.

WEST LOOP — Clothing retailer Anthropologie is opening a new shop in Fulton Market, according to a report.

Anthropologie has signed a 10-year lease for 11,500 square feet to open a store in the 1000 W. Randolph St. building, according to Crain's Chicago.

The new store will be located a block away from a planned Free People store at 1101 W. Randolph St. Both brands are owned by Urban Outfitters.

Starbucks has also signed on to lease a 3,100-square-foot space in the 1000 W. Randolph building, a Starbucks spokeswoman previously confirmed. The new Starbucks will likely carry the brand's line of rare, small-batch Reserve coffees in shop. Representatives for West Loop developer Sterling Bay, who owns the building, did not return calls Wednesday.
